Group Assignment: Colour Wheel (Building a zoetrope) Part III/Presentation Day

Last Monday was presentation day for our art installations for the colour wheel. Most of us came at 8 and one thing was for sure, until the very last minute, everyone was in a frenzy to make sure everything was proper and ready for show.

Fortunately, all those blood, tears, and sweat shed were not in vain because everyone did an amazing job with their art installations. Miss Lisa seemed very pleased with our work and the smile on her face made us smile as well!

Reflection

Here is the delegation of work as follows:

  • Animation, purchasing: Hidayah, Annabel, Aina
  • Construction, decor: Mathuri, Blue/Jie Han, Atiqah

After the project, I felt very relieved, and here are some valuable lessons learned from this art project:

  1. coordination when it comes to time management and communication
  2. how to conduct research and development
  3. how to conduct trial and error experiments with the zoetrope
  4. how to cooperate, give and take, and tolerate (unintentional rhyming!)

Here are some photos from presentation day!

Blu/Jie Han operating the zoetrope! We added the spotlight to make the animation easier to view.

1/2 of our team and Miss Lisa with Annabel's animation reel! My Macbook (and Aina's, but it is not pictured) served as part of the art installation, playing a colour wheel animation on loop.

Our team members personified as adorable plush toys! Specially handmade by Atiqah. OOAK!

Gorgeous buildings painted by another group.

The second part of their installation!

Cupcakes baked by another group. Cute and sweet.

The balloon tunnel constructed by another group. It was very labour intensive to construct but it was worth the effort.
